An Electric Solar Wind Sail (E-sail) is a propellantless propulsion concept that extracts momentum from the high-speed solar wind stream to generate thrust. This paper investigates performance of such system in obtaining transition prograde retrograde motion. The spacecraft assumed initially trace circular heliocentric orbit given radius. particular trajectory, referred as Circular Orbit Flip Trajectory (COFT), analyzed two-dimensional mission scenario, by exploiting capability medium-high E-sail change angular vector during its motion interplanetary space. More precisely, describes procedure evaluate optimal set COFTs, calculating their minimum flight times function sail reference propulsive acceleration. It shown COFT can be generated means simple steering law which nominal plane has nearly fixed attitude with respect an orbital system, for most time interval transfer.
